Magiz Mod

Magiz Mod 1.8.9 adds magic to Minecraft, in the form of magical staves that can be used to cast spells. All information you’re going to need about Magiz will be available via the in-game wiki, which is an item that can be crafted by putting a piece of Redstone Dust and a Book into a crafting bench.

The resulting wiki, which is a red book, can be read, and you’ll be able to read about all the different spells, crafting recipes, and how different items and blocks are used. Magiz mod works on LAN worlds, so you can play with your friends, if you want to do so.

Show Spoiler

First of, you’ll want the Magiz Wiki – it’s a handy book that gives you all the information you’d need to use the mod fully. It can be crafted in a crafting bench, by adding a piece of Redstone Dust and a Book into the crafting grid. RIght-click the book when in hand, and you’ll be able to read about all items, blocks and spells.

In order to perform magic, you’re going to need a staff; staves are crafted like a shovel, but instead of a plank/cobblestone/iron ingot/diamond, you put a piece of redstone dust in.
But, that staff in not charged with any spells – so it can’t cast any. In order to charge it, you’re first going to need a Spell to add to it. Spells are crafted using three items; an uncharged spell, a spell charger of the same tier as the spell you wish to create, and a tertiary item or block to determine what spell you wish to make (recipes and information about all of these can be found in the Wiki).

Once you have those, simply add them all together to create the spell. Then, throw the spell and your staff into a crafting table, which will charge the staff with the spell you’ve created.

Now that you have your staff, you can start casting the spell – that is, if you have sufficient Magical Power Orbs. Each cast of a spell requires 1 orb. They can be acquired, by converting your experience levels into orbs (the higher level, the more orbs you’ll get per level).
