Jungle Boat Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a jungle boat with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, a jungle boat is one of the many transportation items that you can make. A jungle boat allows you to quickly travel across water. There are different variations of a boat – oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, bamboo, and cherry.

TIP: When crafting a jungle boat in Minecraft PE, Windows 10, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Nintendo Switch and Education Edition, you also need a wooden shovel.

How to craft a Jungle Boat in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make a Jungle Boat

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make a jungle boat, place 5 jungle planks in the 3×3 crafting grid.

When making a jungle boat, it is important that the jungle planks are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. There should be 2 jungle planks placed in the first row at either sides (the middle box should be left empty) and 3 jungle planks placed in the second row. If you are making a jungle boat for Minecraft PE, Windows 10, Xbox, PS, Wii U, Nintendo Switch and Education Edition, you need to add one additional item which is a wooden shovel that goes in the middle box in the first row. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a jungle boat that moves in the water.
