Green Dye Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft green dye (formerly called cactus green) with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, green dye is one of the many dyes that you can make. However, it is not made with a crafting table but rather with a furnace.

2. Add Fuel to the Furnace

Next, you need to add fuel to the bottom fuel box in the furnace.

Green Dye - Wiki Guide 10

In this tutorial, we are going to use coal as our fuel.TIP: Read our tutorial called How to Add Fuel to a Furnace if you aren’t sure what items can be used as fuel, the length of time each fuel will burn, or how many items each fuel can smelt/cook.

3. Add Item to make Green Dye

Next, place the block of cactus in the top box of the furnace. You should see the flames cooking the block of cactus.

Green Dye - Wiki Guide 11

Once the cactus is cooked in the furnace, the green dye will appear in the box to the right.
