Green Bed Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a green bed with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, a green bed is a new color of bed introduced in the game. You can sleep in a green bed at night to avoid mobs spawning and attacking you. Also once you’ve slept in this type of bed, it resets your spawn point. There is more than one way to craft a green bed.

How to craft a Green Bed in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make a Green Bed

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make a green bed, you will need to place specific items in the grid. It is important that the items are placed in the exact pattern as our example images. Changing the pattern of boxes that are filled will change the item that is crafted.

There are 2 patterns you can use as a crafting recipe for a green bed:

Pattern 1

There should be 3 green wool in the first row and 3 wood planks in the second row.

Pattern 2

In the first row, there should be 1 white bed in the first box and 1 green dye in the second box.

TIP: When crafting a green bed with wood planks, you can use any kind of wood planks, such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, crimson, or warped planks. In our example, we are using oak planks.

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the green bed will appear in the box to the right.
