Giant Boss Data Pack (1.20.6) introduces the Giant, a fearsome new enemy that roams the Minecraft world. Prepare to face a formidable foe that will test your combat skills and survival instincts. Enjoy playing this data pack!
Features:
- Rare Encounters: Giants replace zombies (uncommonly) above Y level 60, after obtaining the “Zombie Doctor” advancement. Be ready for a surprise high in the world!
- Devastating Attacks: Giants inflict area-of-effect damage and unleash a devastating leap attack that launches nearby players skyward. Upon landing, they spawn a wave of zombies.
- Resilient Fighter: As their health depletes, Giants gain increased resistance, making them tougher to defeat. While they have natural projectile protection, bows remain effective with precise aiming.
- Summoning Minions: The Giant Boss summons lesser undead like zombies, husks, and drowned to overwhelm you during battle.
- Spectral Cavalry: Brace yourself for ghostly warriors! Occasionally, the Giant Boss spawns Zombie Horsemen clad in chainmail armor, wielding iron swords, and mounted on tamed Zombie Horses.
- Valuable Rewards: Giants drop a bounty of rotten flesh and apples, with a chance of acquiring golden apples and even rarer enchanted golden apples.
- Cooldown on Chaos: Once defeated, another Giant won’t spawn for a significant time (~50 minutes), allowing you to rebuild and prepare for the next colossal encounter.
- Command Spawning (For the Bold): Use the provided command (
/execute as @e[type=minecraft:zombie,limit=1,sort=nearest] run function giant:giant) to spawn a Giant by targeting a nearby zombie.
