Forgified Fabric API is basically Fabric API ported over to work with Minecraft Forge for version 1.20.1. If you’re modding with Forge but want to use Fabric API code, this is how you do it. It’s continuously updated to match the upstream Fabric API, so you’re getting the same features either way.
The mod gives you access to stuff that’s normally hard to reach in vanilla Minecraft. It adds events and hooks that let mods work together better. You also get registry syncing and crash report improvements. There’s an advanced rendering API built in that plays nice with optimization mods and graphics overhauls.
