Deep Mob Learning Mod

Deep Mob Learning Mod 1.12.2 is a server friendly mod for mob loot acquisition. It’s inspired by the Soul shards mod where you could “collect” mob kills to later reuse them for mob spawners.

This mod however uses “Data models” that you train by defeating monsters both by hand or by simulation (In the simulation chamber).

Features:

  • Flattened item structure before the 1.13 removal of metadata (Breaking change)
  • New machine, The Loot Fabricator. All the existing pristine to item recipes was moved to this machine
  • Configurable loot tables for the Loot Fabricator.
  • Added JEI support for the Loot Fabricator.
  • Added support for Thermal Expansion mobs
  • Added support for Twilight forest mobs (Split into 4 different zones)
  • Added proper creative tab
  • Made the Creeper, Skeleton & Zombie data models easier to acquire (No longer crafted with skulls)
  • Added a recipe for chorus fruit (Extraterrestrial matter)
  • Altered the Simulation chamber recipe to take a regular glass pane (Less microcrafting)
  • Blank data models are stackable
  • Added some transmutational recipes
  • Changed the polymer clay recipe (again)
  • The different realm matters (Ow/Hellish/Terrestrial/Twilight) now grant experience when consumed

Getting Started:

  • To get started you will need a Deep Learner, which will house the data models, and some type of mob data model.
  • Once your data models have reached higher tiers you can use them in the simulation chamber to get “Transmutational” matter, you’ll get different ones depending on which type the Data Model is. multiple Data Models can share the same type.
    • Overworld mobs -> Overworldian matter
    • Nether mobs -> Hellish matter
    • End mobs -> Extraterrestrial matter
  • These can be used to transmute items that come from that corresponding dimension/origin.
    • Ex: Extraterrestrial matter + apple can grant you chorus fruit.
  • You also get pristine matter from the Simulation Chamber, each Data Model will have a separate Pristine matter, these can then be used in the Loot Fabricator to…. well… fabricate loot. The various loot tables for each pristine can be found in the config file.
