Some Resourcepacks need to use Optifines to change the model of in-game objects, and the installation of Custom Entity Models, Mod will support you to use resource packs without having to install Optifines. If you install the optional dependencies, this isn’t necessary, as there is an option within the config to load from optifine’s folder structure.
