Custom Biome Saplings Mod
Custom Biome Saplings Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) is an add-on for the Terralith mod and the Blooming Biosphere mod. Both of these are world generation mods that introduce a large variety of custom biomes into the game. And the trees that grow in some of these biomes are the modded variants of some of the vanilla trees.Â
For example, a biome from the Terralith mod has very tall cone-shaped trees with multiple layers of leaves. If you try cutting down this tree, you will realize that the wood is just regular vanilla oak and the leaves are vanilla oak leaves. It’s just oak trees that have been generated in a custom shape. The mod essentially treats the shape of these trees as a part of the world generation. This comes with a drawback. If you cut down this tree and plant a sapling from it at the same place, the new tree that grows will be a regular vanilla oak tree. This makes it impossible to grow these custom modded trees using their saplings. But not anymore!
The Custom Biome Saplings mod makes it possible to place down a sapling and the tree that grows back will be similar to the modded variant, rather than a vanilla one. This can be determined by the white particles that appear when you place down the sapling. The white particles essentially indicate that the tree that grows from it will be of the modded shape.
