Crimson Sign Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a crimson sign with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, the crimson sign is a new type of sign that was introduced in the Nether Update. What makes the warped sign so unique (compared to Overworld signs such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak) is that crimson signs can not be destroyed by fire.

When you make crimson signs, the crafting process will create 3 crimson signs at a time.

How to craft a Crimson Sign in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3×3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make a Crimson Sign

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 crafting grid. To make a crimson sign, place 6 crimson planks and 1 stick in the 3×3 crafting grid.

When making a crimson sign, it is important that the crimson planks are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 3 warped planks. In the second row, there should be 3 warped planks. In the third row, there should be 1 stick in the middle box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a crimson sign.

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct pattern, the 3 crimson signs will appear in the box to the right.
