Blast Protection Enchantments Wiki Guide

This Minecraft tutorial explains the Blast Protection enchantment with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

Background

The Blast Protection enchantment reduces the damage from explosions such as TNT explosions, creeper explosions, ghast fireballs, initial wither boss explosions, and ender crystals.

You can add the Blast Protection enchantment to any piece of armor such as helmets, chestplates, leggings or boots using an enchanting table, anvil, or game command. Then you will need to wear the enchanted armor to gain the blast protection.

The maximum level for the Blast Protection enchantment is Level 4. This means that you can enchant an item with up to Blast Protection IV. The higher the level, the more powerful the enchantment.

Wear the Enchanted Armor

Once you have armor enchanted with Blast Protection, you need to wear the enchanted armor. You will not gain the blast protection until the armor items are worn.

Move each of the armor items (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) with Blast Protection from your inventory to your character’s armor boxes.

You will see your character’s appearance change as the armor is worn.
