Chai’s Better HUD Mod
Minecraft’s HUD shows you plenty of info, but there’s always room for improvement. Chai’s Better HUD fixes some annoying gaps by adding small quality-of-life tweaks that make a real difference during gameplay. The mod is lightweight, fully customizable, and works great with other mods.
What This Mod Adds
Durability Meters – Four small green bars appear on your screen showing the durability of each armor piece you’re wearing. Instantly see which armor needs replacing without opening your inventory.
Effect Timers – Player potion effects now display remaining time directly below the effect icon. No more guessing how long your buffs or debuffs will last.
Better Visibility While Mounted – Your XP bar and hunger bar stay visible when riding mobs or vehicles instead of getting hidden.
Smarter Fire Overlay – The fire effect that covers your screen is lowered significantly. If you have fire resistance or are in creative mode, it disappears completely.
Clearer Lava Vision – Lava becomes much more transparent when you’re in creative mode, so you can actually see what you’re doing underwater.
Chat Positioning – Chat messages shift up when you’re wearing armor so they don’t cover the armor bar, keeping information visible at all times.
Full Customization – Don’t like one of these features? Everything can be toggled on or off in the config.
