Oganesson is the 118th element on the periodic table, and you can use it as a block in Minecraft if you’re playing Education Edition or if you enable chemistry features. It’s one of 118 element blocks you can place and build with once the chemistry features are turned on.
What is Oganesson?
Oganesson (Og) is a chemical element block with atomic number 118. You’ll only see it in Minecraft Education Edition, or in Bedrock Edition (Pocket Edition, Windows 10, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) if you turn on education features in your world settings.
How to Enable Chemistry Features
Want to use Oganesson and other element blocks in Bedrock Edition? You need to enable Education Edition mode for your world.
Here’s how:
- Open your world settings
- Find the “Education Edition” toggle and turn it on
- The game will create a new copy of your world with [EDU] in the name
- Play in that new copy to access all chemistry features
Important: Enabling education mode can change how your world works, so Minecraft automatically backs up your original world before making changes. You’ll play in the [EDU] copy instead.
Finding Oganesson in Creative
Once chemistry is enabled, you can find Oganesson in your Creative inventory. The menu location depends on which Minecraft version you’re using.
| Edition | Versions | Menu Location |
|---|---|---|
| Education Edition | 1.4.0 – 1.14.31 | Construction |
| Education Edition | 1.17.30+ | Items |
