Egg Staff Mod solves one of survival mode’s biggest pain points: getting spawn eggs. This compact mod lets you craft an Egg Staff and capture any mob you want, turning them into spawn eggs. Whether you’re building mob farms or collecting creatures, this mod is a huge quality-of-life upgrade.

How the Egg Staff Works

The concept is dead simple. Craft an Egg Staff, get some Capturing Eggs, and left-click any mob to capture it. Each capture consumes one Capturing Egg and drops a spawn egg. Not all mobs are enabled by default, but you can toggle anything on or off in the config file.

Egg Staff

Your main tool for capturing mobs. Hostile mobs require you to have at least 15 experience levels to capture, though you can adjust this in the config if you want to make it easier. Peaceful mobs have no XP requirement. Check Just Enough Items or Roughly Enough Items to see the recipe.

Capturing Eggs

These are the ammo for your Egg Staff. You need to craft plenty of them since each mob capture uses one up. Keep a good supply if you’re doing serious mob farming.

Crafting Recipes

Install Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric) to view all recipes in-game.

Mod Compatibility

Egg Staff works with other mods as long as they have spawn eggs. It generally doesn’t cause conflicts, but always check the description for any known issues with specific mods.

Installation Instructions

1. Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version.
