Does this mod repair my tools?

No. This mod only prevents you from using broken tools. It doesn't add infinite durability or repair functionality. You'll still need to visit an anvil or crafting table to fix your gear.

Can I bypass the break prevention?

Yes, hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) to use a tool at 1 durability. But one more swing and it's gone for good.

Does this work with other mods?

Items Don't Break Mod is client-side and compatible with most other mods. Check the mod description for any known conflicts.

What Minecraft versions are supported?

The mod is available for 1.12.2 through 1.19.2. Download the version that matches your Minecraft installation.

Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?

Yes, it's a client-side mod so it works everywhere. The server doesn't need to have it installed.

Items Don't Break Mod 1.19.2, 1.18.2 (Forge)

Items Don’t Break Mod is a lightweight client-side mod that stops you from accidentally using tools when they’re about to snap. It won’t repair your pickaxe or give infinite durability, but it’ll save you from that annoying moment where your tool breaks mid-job.

What This Mod Does

The mod has three simple features that work together to protect your gear:

1. Durability Tooltip

When you hover over any tool or weapon in your inventory, the mod shows you approximately how many uses it has left. No more guessing whether you’ve got 5 uses or 50.

2. On-Screen Durability Warning

While holding a tool, you’ll see remaining uses displayed on your screen. It only pops up when durability gets low (10 or less) and remaining uses are 20 or fewer, so you won’t get spam.

3. Break Prevention

Once your tool hits 1 durability, you can’t mine or attack with it anymore. The mod just locks you out. If you really need to use it anyway (weird flex, but okay), hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) to bypass this, but you’ll snap it on the next swing.

Installation

Drop the mod file into your .minecraft/mods folder. You’ll need Minecraft Forge installed first.
