Brown star-shaped firework rockets are fun visual effects you can craft and launch in Minecraft. They create colorful star-burst explosions in the sky, and it’s easy to make them with just a few materials.
What You’ll Need
To craft a brown star-shaped firework rocket, gather these materials:
- 1 Paper
- 1 Gunpowder
- 1 Brown Star-shaped Firework Star
Crafting Steps
Step 1: Open Your Crafting Table
Place a crafting table and interact with it to open the 3×3 crafting grid.
Step 2: Add the Materials
Place your materials in this exact pattern:
- First row: Paper in the first slot, Gunpowder in the second slot
- Second row: Brown Star-shaped Firework Star in the first slot
- Leave all other slots empty
The brown star-shaped firework rocket will appear in the output slot on the right side of the crafting table. Grab it and add it to your inventory.
Step 3: Customize Your Flight Duration (Optional)
Want your fireworks to go higher? Use more gunpowder. The amount of gunpowder you use determines how high the rocket flies:
- 1 Gunpowder = Flight duration 1 (shorter burst)
- 2 Gunpowder = Flight duration 2 (medium height)
- 3 Gunpowder = Flight duration 3 (highest burst)
Just add extra gunpowder to the crafting grid (in different slots) to increase the flight duration. You can still only use one firework star though.
Using Your Firework Rocket
Once you have your brown star-shaped firework rocket, you can:
- Launch it by holding it and right-clicking (depends on which hand you’re holding it in)
- Use it to boost yourself with the Elytra wings by firing it while in flight
- Load multiple rockets into a Dispenser for automated fireworks shows
- Hover over the rocket in your inventory to see its flight duration, shape type, and color
Related Firework Types
Once you master brown star rockets, try making other firework shapes:
- Small Ball Fireworks (basic ball explosions)
- Large Ball Fireworks (bigger explosion radius)
- Burst Fireworks (dramatic explosion effect)
- Creeper-Shaped Fireworks (Creeper-head shaped burst)
- Star-Shaped Fireworks in other colors (Red, Blue, Green, etc.)
Pro Tips
- You can make multiple firework rockets at once by placing multiple brown stars and gunpowder in different rows of the crafting grid
- Combine different colored firework stars to create multi-color effects
- Fire rockets from high ground to make them more visible across your world
- Use Dispensers with a Redstone signal to create automatic fireworks displays
