Getting Brown Mushrooms in Survival Mode
Step 1: Find a Dark Area
Brown mushrooms spawn in dark places. Look in caves, under trees, or deep underground where light levels are low. You’ll also find them in mushroom biomes and swamp areas.
Step 2: Break the Mushroom
Use these controls to break the mushroom:
- Java Edition (PC/Mac): Left click and hold
- Pocket Edition (PE): Tap and hold
- Xbox: Hold RT button
- PlayStation: Hold R2 button
- Nintendo Switch: Hold ZR button
The mushroom will break and drop on the ground.
Step 3: Pick It Up
Grab the mushroom before it disappears. It goes straight into your inventory.
