Goblins and Giants Mod 1.7.10 Download

Goblins and Giants Mod 1.7.10 adds a bunch of new mobs and dimensions to Minecraft. The mod is still under development, but there’s already plenty of content to dig into. New mobs, items, blocks, and eventually 8 different dimensions where you hunt boss keys. Collect all 8 keys and you can face the final boss. Each dimension has its own unique enemies, loot, and gear to discover.

The Mobs

Vampire

Vampires spawn in low light almost everywhere except the nether. Daylight burns them up, which is their weakness. They hit for 2 hearts of damage and drop vampire bats when killed. Their blood is a core crafting material in the mod, so you’ll be farming these pretty regularly.

Goblin

Goblins spawn in groups and run away when they’re nearly dead. Kill them for spear tips, which are essential for crafting bone spears. They’re easy to take down and good for early game progression.

Giant

Giants only spawn in the dark like skeletons, but unlike most mobs they survive in sunlight just fine. They’re not hostile unless you attack them first. These guys are absolutely huge and super tough with tons of health, but they move slowly so you can trap them if you’re clever. They drop giant bones, which are valuable for crafting. But they’re hard to find.

Werewolf

Werewolves only spawn at night in dark areas. They die when daylight hits, but if they’re above ground they just turn into a regular wolf. Kill them for raw porkchops.

Orc

Orcs are legitimately dangerous. They spawn in the dark but survive in daylight. When they attack you, they set you on fire. Seriously, be careful around these guys. But the reward is worth the risk. They sometimes drop the Uruk Hai Sword, a rare weapon that sets other mobs on fire when you hit them. You can’t craft it, so you have to hunt orcs to get one.

Pigmen

Pigmen spawn in groups on the surface. They drop porkchops when killed. Pretty straightforward.

Savannah Dimension

Enter the Savannah dimension by finding a Savannah temple in a desert. These temples look like regular desert temples but they’re packed with monsters, traps, and treasure chests. This is where you’ll farm items needed for the dimension’s boss.

Crafting Recipes

The mod adds lots of new crafting recipes. We recommend installing Just Enough Items (for mods using Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for mods using Fabric) to view all the recipes in-game.

Vampire Blood is the mod’s core material. Combine it with giant bones to make bloody giant bones, which go into bone spears. You can also use it to craft poison bottles for making poison swords.

Bone Spear is one of the best early-game weapons. You get the spear tip from killing goblins and the bloody giant bone from combining vampire blood with a giant bone from giants. Bone spears hit hard and are cheap to make.
