What is Redis and why does this plugin need it?

Redis is an in-memory database that handles transactions insanely fast. This plugin uses Redis so your economy stays responsive even with hundreds of players. Without Redis, economy systems lag server performance. Redis Economy Plugin requires a Redis server running somewhere accessible to your Minecraft server.

Can I use this without setting up Redis?

No. You need a working Redis instance configured in the plugin's config.yml. If you're new to Redis, you can run it in Docker or install it locally. The plugin will tell you if the connection fails.

Is this compatible with other economy plugins?

Probably not. Don't run Redis Economy Plugin alongside other economy plugins like Essentials Economy. Pick one and stick with it. Having multiple economy plugins will cause conflicts and break balances.

How do I back up my economy data?

Use the /backup-economy command to export all balances to a file. Use /restore-economy to load it back. This works with Redis, so you're covered if something goes wrong.

What Minecraft versions are supported?

Installation

Download the plugin JAR from below
Place it in your server’s plugins/ folder
Start your server (it will generate config files)
