Villages are awesome. You find them scattered around different biomes, and there’s always something cool to explore. Rex’s Biome Villages Addon takes that concept and runs with it, creating unique village variants for almost every biome. You get new mobs, custom buildings, special items, and even magic rings to hunt down. It’s the kind of addon that makes exploration actually rewarding.
Village Types
Old West Village
Spawns in mesa biomes. This one’s got a wild west vibe with a great hall, a working bank where you can trade gold, and you can even take bounty hunter jobs from the village sheriff.
City of Atlantis
Found in ocean biomes. It’s surrounded by a giant glass dome, but inside it’s a full underwater city. You’ll find guardian golems (aquatic iron golems) and Atlantean villagers (fish people) running around.
Jungle Village
Appears in jungle biomes and protected by Aztec warriors. They carry the Aztec sword, which you can craft yourself using wood and obsidian.
Mangrove Village
Shows up in mangrove and swamp biomes. The village witches here are friendly traders who’ll swap items with you.
Elf Village
Spawns in birch forest biomes. Elves guard this village along with their wood golems. Feels right at home in the trees.
Other Villages
Primitive Village – Dark oak forests. Simple but atmospheric.
Village in Ruins – Taiga biome. A lot of this one is underground, so you’ll do some digging to explore it all.
Coastal Village – Rivers and beaches. Perfect for water-based settlements.
Mushroom Village – Mushroom biomes (pretty rare). There’s a fountain in the center. Drop an item into it and you’ll get valuable ores in return.
Forward Marauder Post – Savannah biome. It’s basically an improved pillager outpost.
Magic Rings and Platinum Ore
The addon adds 6 power rings with different abilities. Some let you fly, others set things on fire, and some steal life from mobs. To get them you’ll need to mine platinum ore from the Nether and hunt for gems in the new villages.
Gems drop from certain mobs, appear in chests around the villages, and you can trade for them with villagers. Once you have a gem, combine it with your platinum ring body on a crafting bench, then take it to a jeweler NPC. The jeweler will assemble your ring, and that’s it, no durability, unlimited uses.
You can also craft platinum tools and armor if you want a full set of gear.
