Do I need to install this mod on my client?

No. Nyan Cow Mod is server-side only. If you're on a server with it installed, you'll see the Nyan Cows without needing to install anything. The server admin handles the installation.

Nyan Cow Mod is one of those silly mods that makes you wonder why it doesn’t come built into Minecraft. Every entity in your world gets a floating Nyan Cow above its head. Every single one. XP orbs, dropped items, other cows, armor stands, you name it. When the entity dies, the Nyan Cow drops to the ground and goes about its business.

The mod is completely server-side, which means only the server needs it installed. Players can connect and see all the beautiful flying rainbow cows without having to install anything themselves. Pretty neat if you’re running a server and want to mess with your friends.

How It Works

Every entity that exists in your world gets a Nyan Cat companion floating above it. Kill a mob? Its Nyan Cat falls to the ground and continues flying around. The mod adds a layer of chaos and humor to any world.

Important: Don’t install this on a world you care about. It will absolutely flood your builds with cows. This is a fun mod for messing around, not for serious survival.

Compatibility

Nyan Cow works with most other mods without issues. It’s compatible with both Forge and Fabric mod loaders. The mod supports Minecraft versions from 1.10.x through 1.12.x, plus 1.16.5. Check the downloads below for your specific version.

Installation
