Obsidian Islands PvP Map Overview

Obsidian Islands is a competitive team PvP arena map created by ZcTw. It took over a year to build and combines the best parts of classic maps like Cluster Chunk and Race For Wool. The goal is simple: break your enemy’s Obsidian block before they break yours. Everything else flows from that, making every match feel different depending on how your team progresses.

How the Map Works

The gameplay is built around team progression and resource management. When a match starts, each team gets a spawn island surrounded by eight others. Custom villagers appear on your team’s spawn and five surrounding islands. These villagers let you progress through a survival economy system to get better gear and items. Kill enemies, loot them, and use that advantage to either gear up faster or knock players into the void. Strategy matters as much as PvP skill.

Requirements and Setup

Before You Play

• Requires Minecraft 1.12.2 or 1.11.2 exactly. Other versions won’t work properly
• Set your Render Distance to 8 or higher for best experience
• Minimum 2 players needed (team-based gameplay)
• No cheating. Play fair or don’t bother

How to Install

1. Download the map file using the link below
2. Extract the ZIP file if needed
3. Place the folder in your .minecraft/saves directory
4. Launch Minecraft and load the world from your saves list
