What is the Speed Status Effect?
The Speed effect is a helpful status effect that makes your character move faster. The higher the level of the effect, the faster you go. Speed I is the basic level, but you can get Speed II, Speed III, and even higher versions.
How to See the Speed Effect
When you have the Speed effect active, you’ll see a blue-gray icon appear in the top right corner of your screen (in older Minecraft versions, it only shows when you open your inventory). You’ll also notice blue-gray particles floating around your character.
The effect duration shows in your inventory menu. For example, if it says 4:30, you have 4 minutes and 30 seconds left before the effect wears off.
