Allium Flower – Minecraft Guide | 1Minecraft

Find allium flowers in Minecraft, learn what they're used for, and discover crafting recipes and tips for using them.

What is Allium?

Allium is a purple flower found in Minecraft. It’s a small wildflower that spawns naturally in the world. You can’t craft it, but you can find it growing in certain biomes and gather it for use in recipes and decoration.

Where to Find Allium

Allium flowers spawn naturally in flower forests and sometimes in plains biomes. Search around these areas and you’ll spot them pretty easily. They’re bright purple, so they stand out against the grass.

Creative Mode

If you’re in Creative mode, you’ll find allium in the decorations or natural blocks section of your inventory, depending on your Minecraft version.

How to Gather Allium

Breaking an allium flower is simple:

  • Java Edition (PC/Mac): Left-click and hold on the flower
  • Pocket Edition: Tap and hold on the flower
  • Bedrock/Windows 10: Left-click and hold
  • Console: Hold the attack button (RT on Xbox, R2 on PlayStation, ZR on Switch)

The flower breaks and drops as an item. Pick it up before it despawns.

What You Can Make with Allium

Allium has a few uses:

  • Magenta Dye: Craft allium with other materials to make magenta dye for coloring items
  • Suspicious Stew: Combine allium with brown mushroom and bowl to make suspicious stew, which gives you fire resistance
  • Decoration: Plant allium in pots or flower boxes to decorate your base
  • Composting: Throw allium in a composter to get bone meal
  • Bee Breeding: Bees pollinate allium flowers, so plant them near your bee hives
