Obscure API is a technical library mod that provides code and systems for other mods to use. It’s not something you’ll directly interact with, but you’ll need it installed if you’re running mods that depend on it.
Features
Class Equipment System
Assign game classes like Necromancer to items and armor. Class armor pieces can have custom bonuses that apply to matching gear. For example, you might get “-30% Cooldown Duration for Necromancer Class Weapons” or “30% Ability Power for Necromancer Class Weapons”. These bonuses stay active while the armor is equipped.
Weapon Abilities
Add abilities to any weapon with up to four effect types: Passive, Attack, Active, and Extra Active. Each effect can have a cost in the form of cooldown, durability, experience, or custom costs. The mod automatically updates your tooltips to show the actual cost and strength if you have the right class armor equipped.
Item Upgrade System
Upgrade your equipment with special materials that boost stats. Any piece of gear can reach +10, which increases its main attribute (damage for weapons, protection for armor). Upgrades show in your item tooltip so you always know what you have.
Attribute Display
Equipment and food display their stats using icons in tooltips. You can disable this in the config file if you prefer (Obscuria/obscure-api-client.toml).
Custom Lore and Knowledge
Add custom lore lines to any items by their ID. Knowledge lines stay hidden unless you have the Knowledge effect, giving you space for hidden lore.
Hekate Animation Library
A math-based animation library used by Obscuria mods for creature animations.
Requirements
This mod requires Minecraft Forge to run.
How to Install
Install Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version first. Then place the downloaded mod file in your mods folder (.minecraft/mods).
