Companion Mod adds some quality-of-life features for keeping your pets safe and by your side. Vanilla wolves and cats are cool, but they’re dumb as rocks. They wander off, get lost, or die in stupid ways while you’re trying to actually play the game. This mod fixes that by giving pets actual survival instincts and better ways to stick with you.
What It Does
The mod focuses on four main improvements:
- Companions won’t attack when low on health: Your pets won’t rage into a fight if they’re already at 20% health or below. Saves them from stupid deaths.
- Auto-recall when hurt: If a companion drops to 20% health, it automatically teleports back to you. No more panic looking for half-dead pets.
- Portal leashes: Use a leash to bring your pets through nether portals and end gateways. Leave your best friend at home instead of losing them to the void.
- Parrots stay put: Parrots will actually stay on your shoulder instead of flying off randomly. Finally.
