Do I really need OptiFine for Cloudy Skys to work?

Yes, OptiFine is required. The animated auroras, custom sky layers, and fog maps all use OptiFine's extended resource pack features. Without it, you'll just get the vanilla sky with no changes.

Does Cloudy Skys change any block or item textures?

No. This pack only touches the sky, sun, fog, and atmosphere. All your block, item, and mob textures stay exactly the same, so it stacks cleanly with most other resource packs.

Will the animated effects drop my FPS?
