Better Grass Resource Pack fixes the visual mismatch on grass blocks. By default, the top of a grass block is green and the sides have a different, harsher texture, creating a visible cutoff that looks out of place on any hillside or garden. This pack makes the sides use the same texture as the top, so grass patches look consistent no matter what angle you’re viewing from. It’s a small tweak, but once you use it, going back feels wrong.
What This Pack Changes
It modifies grass and dirt block textures so the side faces match the top. That’s it. No other changes to vanilla visuals, no extra effects, no new blocks.
The pack runs at 16x resolution, the same as vanilla Minecraft, so there’s no performance cost. It’s a texture swap, not an overhaul.
OptiFine Required
You need OptiFine installed for this pack to work. It relies on OptiFine’s connected textures feature to display the side faces correctly. Without it, the grass sides won’t pick up the top texture and the pack won’t do anything useful.
