Do I need Forge or Fabric to use this data pack?

No. Data packs work with vanilla Minecraft Java Edition and don't need any mod loader. Just drop the .zip into your world's data packs folder.

Can I add this to a world I'm already playing?

Yes. Open your world, go to Options, then Data Packs, and add it from there. It'll work on existing worlds without any issues.

Does the Spawner recipe let me choose what mob it spawns?

The crafting recipe gives you a basic Spawner block. Once it's placed, you can change what mob it spawns by using the right spawn egg on it.

Will this work on a multiplayer server?

Yes, but the data pack needs to be installed on the server, not just your client. Ask your server admin to add it to the world's data packs folder.

I can't figure out the crafting recipes. Where do I find them?

Install Just Enough Items (for Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for Fabric) and you can browse every recipe in-game directly from your inventory screen.

Craftable Snow Golem Data Pack 1.17.1 (Recipes)

This data pack adds two crafting recipes that vanilla Minecraft flat-out refuses to give you: a Snow Golem spawn egg and a Spawner block. Snow Golems normally have to be built in the world using snow blocks and a pumpkin, but here you just craft the egg and place it wherever you need. The Spawner recipe is the bigger deal though since spawners only show up in dungeons and can’t be moved without mods.

What This Data Pack Adds

Snow Golem Spawn Egg

Craft a Snow Golem spawn egg at a crafting table and place your golems anywhere you want. Good for setting up snow farms or just moving them around without having to stack blocks in place first.

Spawner Block

Spawners are rare. You find them in dungeons, you can’t pick them up in vanilla, and that’s basically it. This pack gives you a recipe to craft one from scratch. Place it down, then set the mob type using the appropriate spawn egg.

Viewing the Recipes In-Game

To see the exact crafting layouts without guessing, install Just Enough Items (works with Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (works with Fabric). Both let you browse all recipes right in the inventory screen.

How to Install

Download the data pack .zip file from the link below.
Open Minecraft Java Edition and either create a new world or load an existing one.
Pause and go to Options, then Data Packs.
Click Open Pack Folder to open the folder in your file manager.
Drop the .zip file directly into that folder. Do not extract it.
Go back to Minecraft and click the arrow next to the pack name to enable it.
Click Done and you’re good to go. The recipes are now available in any crafting table.
