What do the three crafting recipes actually require?

Each recipe uses different materials to craft or fill a Bottle o' Enchanting. The exact ingredients show up in JEI or REI if you have either of those installed, which is the easiest way to look them up in-game.

Can I give bottled XP to another player?

Yes. Once your XP is in a bottle it behaves like any other item. You can drop it, chest it, or hand it directly to another player. They just throw it on the ground to absorb the XP.

How much XP does one bottle hold?

A vanilla Bottle o' Enchanting drops between 3 and 11 XP when broken. The mod balances its recipes around that range, so a single bottle won't store a huge amount. You'll need several if you're trying to move a large pool of experience.

Is it safe to add this to an existing world?

Yes. The mod only adds crafting recipes and does not touch world generation or existing items, so your current world will be fine.

Do I need both Fabric Loader and Fabric API?

Yes, if you're running the Fabric version you need both. Fabric Loader runs the mods and Fabric API provides the hooks many mods depend on. Download both before launching.

The Bottle o’ Enchanting is basically a wasted item in vanilla Minecraft. You can only find it in loot chests, the XP it drops is minimal, and there’s no way to store your own experience in one. This mod fixes all of that with three new crafting recipes that let you craft the bottle and fill it straight from your XP bar. Actually useful for once.

One lets you craft the bottle itself from basic materials, and the others let you store XP directly from your experience bar into bottles. Those bottles can then go in a chest, get traded to another player, or be saved for when you need XP later. Simple idea that should have been in the base game.
