Star Bot Addon lets you summon bot players to your Minecraft Bedrock world. Use them for AFK farming, loading chunks, or just having extra hands while you work on other projects.
What Bots Can Do
Your bots aren’t just standing around. They can:
- Throw tridents at targets
- Apply looting to items
- Change their name and gamemode
- Teleport to you instantly
- Auto-respawn behind you when they die
How to Get Started
Step 1: Download and Import
Get the .mcaddon file and tap it to import into Minecraft. The behavior and resource packs load automatically.
Step 2: Enable Beta APIs
Open your world settings and turn on “Beta APIs” under experimental features. This is required for the addon to work.
Step 3: Add the StarBot User Tag
You need the “StarBot User” tag to control bots. Run this command on yourself:
/tag @s add StarBot User
No command permissions? Just ask your admin for the tag and you’re set.
Step 4: Summon Your First Bot
Create a bot with this command:
/function star_bot/summon
You’ll get a “StarBot Menu” item that controls everything.
Step 5: Rename the Menu Item
Rename the StarBot Menu in an anvil to match your bot’s name. This is important if you want multiple bots, so you can control each one separately.
Step 6: Control Your Bot
Right-click the renamed item to open the control menu. From there you can manage what the bot does.
Things You Should Know
- Trident throws: The bot looks at your target block but won’t always hit it
- Beta APIs: Once turned on, you can’t disable them
- Closing worlds: If you close without removing the bot first, it auto-deletes and loses its inventory
- Lifespan: Bots expire after 1000 hours of playtime
- Ownership: The last player to summon a bot is the master, but any player with “StarBot User” can still control it
