Tough As Nails Campfire Spit Mod (1.12.2)

This is a small addon for Tough as Nails that adds a cooking spit you can place on top of a campfire. Right-click it with raw food, make sure the fire is burning, and it cooks the food over time. If you’re playing a TAN playthrough where food and survival actually matter, cooking over an open fire feels a lot more natural than sprinting to a furnace.

What the Spit Does

Place the spit on the top face of a campfire, then right-click it with uncooked food. As long as the campfire is active, the food cooks on its own. No furnace, no fuel slot, no extra steps. The campfire just has to be lit.

It’s a small addition, but it fills a gap that TAN leaves open. The mod pushes you to manage warmth and hydration, and having a way to cook food directly over your campfire ties everything together.
