Do I need any mods installed to play this map?

No mods needed. This is a vanilla map for Minecraft 1.8, just drop it in your saves folder and load it up.

Why can't I hear the music while playing?

Go to Options, then Music and Sounds, and make sure the Jukebox/Noteblock slider is turned up. Turning other sounds down helps a lot too, otherwise they cover up the noteblock music.

Can I play this map with a friend?

It's built for one player. Two might work but the creator can't guarantee it, so expect some things to behave oddly in multiplayer.

Where is the music disc hidden?

It's somewhere in the map courses, you'll have to explore and look for it. Finding it is part of the experience.

What video game songs are in the map?

The map includes several video game music tracks recreated in noteblocks across the different parkour courses. The YouTube video linked on the page gives you a preview of what to expect.

About Noteblock Parkour Map

This is a parkour map where the platforms are made entirely of noteblocks, and they actually play music notes when you step on them. That mechanic was built with help from Wundero, and it means the song plays out in real time as you jump through each course. There’s also a music disc hidden in the map if you want to find everything.

Tips Before You Play

Go into sound settings and turn down everything except Jukebox/Noteblock volume. If you don’t, ambient noise drowns out the music and you lose the whole point of the map. This is a solo map. Two players might technically load it, but it’s not guaranteed to work right, so go in expecting a singleplayer experience.

Version Compatibility

This map was made for Minecraft 1.8. It may not load or play correctly on other versions.

How to Install Noteblock Parkour Map

Download the map file using the link below.
If the file is zipped, extract it first.
Open your .minecraft/saves folder. On Windows, press Win+R and type %appdata%\.minecraft\saves.
Move the extracted map folder into that saves directory.
Launch Minecraft 1.8 and the world will show up in your Singleplayer list.
