The vanilla smoker can cook meat and fish, and that’s basically it. This mod adds cooked versions of foods Minecraft never bothered to include, like apples, carrots, mushrooms, and chorus fruit. It also adds some fun effects to weirder items like rotten flesh and rabbit foot, making the smoker actually worth building in survival.
New Cooked Items
All new cooked items can only be made in a smoker, not a regular furnace. Here’s everything the mod adds:
- Baked Apple – Works as a substitute in the Golden Apple crafting recipe.
- Cooked Carrot – Usable in the Golden Carrot and Rabbit Stew recipes.
- Cooked Beetroot – Works in Beetroot Soup.
- Cooked Spider Eye – 50% chance to inflict Poison for 3 seconds. Still usable in the Fermented Spider Eye recipe.
- Baked Chorus Fruit – Better stats than regular chorus fruit and won’t randomly teleport you.
- Cooked Red and Brown Mushrooms – Edible on their own and work in Mushroom Stew and Rabbit Stew recipes.
- Berry Jelly – Made from sweet or glow berries. Applies the Glow effect for 30 seconds.
- Cooked Rotten Flesh – 40% chance of Hunger for 15 seconds. Slightly less risky than raw rotten flesh.
- Baked Poisonous Potato – 30% chance of Poison for 3 seconds. Use it in the Rabbit Stew recipe to make a poisoned version.
- Rabbit Stew (Poisoned) – Looks just like normal rabbit stew. Great for pranking a friend.
- Cooked Tropical Fish – Basic food, slightly weaker than cooked cod.
- Cooked Rabbit Foot – Gives Luck for 1 minute when eaten. Also works in the Rabbit Stew recipe.
- Cooked Bamboo Shoots – Weak food stats but very easy to farm if you have a bamboo setup going.
