Can you actually ride Sniffers with this mod?

Yes. You can saddle a Sniffer just like you would a horse and ride it around. It's one of the main features of the mod.

Does the Sniffer chest collect seeds automatically?

Yes. When a Sniffer equipped with a chest digs up seeds, the seeds go straight into the chest instead of dropping on the ground. Convenient for farming ancient seeds.

What does the Ominous Banner do when you give it to a Sniffer?

The Sniffer will lead you to the nearest Pillager Outpost. Useful if you need to track one down for a raid or loot.

Where do I find the Timeless Grotto biome?

It's an underground cave biome, so you'll come across it while caving. Look for the new plants and Glowing Obsidian as signs you've found one.

Does this mod work alongside other mods?

Generally yes, but if you're running other mods that also modify the Sniffer, you might run into conflicts. Test with a small modpack first and remove other Sniffer-related mods if something breaks.

Hellion's Sniffer Plus Mod 1.20.1 - Sniffer Overhaul

The Sniffer is one of the more interesting mobs Mojang has added, but it’s pretty limited out of the box. Hellion’s Sniffer Plus changes that. You can saddle and ride Sniffers, strap a chest on them, and even hand one an Ominous Banner to have it guide you to the nearest Pillager Outpost. On top of that, it adds a handful of new plants and an entirely new cave biome called the Timeless Grotto.

How to Install

Install Minecraft Forge or Fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Download the mod file below that matches your mod loader (Forge or Fabric).
Open your .minecraft/mods folder. Create it if it doesn’t exist.
Drop the downloaded .jar file into the mods folder.
Launch Minecraft using your Forge or Fabric profile and load up a world.
