Reinforced Deepslate Guide: Finding & Commands

Find Reinforced Deepslate in Minecraft. Guide to Ancient City locations, creative mode, /give commands, and compatibility for 1.19-1.20.

Reinforced Deepslate in Minecraft

Reinforced Deepslate is one of the toughest blocks in Minecraft. Introduced in the Wild Update (1.19), it’s blast-resistant, immune to the Ender Dragon and Wither, and can’t be moved by pistons. You can’t break it in Survival mode or get it with Silk Touch, it just won’t drop anything.

Here’s how to get it and what you need to know about it.

What Makes Reinforced Deepslate Different

Block Properties

Reinforced Deepslate is incredibly strong compared to other blocks. It takes way longer to mine than obsidian. Nothing will destroy it or move it, which makes it perfect for the Ancient City structures where it naturally spawns.

You can’t craft Reinforced Deepslate. There’s no recipe for it. If you find it in Survival mode, you can’t mine it and keep it, not even with Silk Touch. The only way to get it is in Creative mode or using commands.

Where to Find Reinforced Deepslate

In Survival Mode

Reinforced Deepslate appears naturally in the Deep Dark biome, specifically in the Ancient City. Look for a large structure made of deepslate bricks and deepslate tiles. In the center, you’ll see a massive rectangular frame built entirely from Reinforced Deepslate. Sculk veins sometimes grow on the sides of these blocks.

Around it, you’ll see lit candles and soul fire flames underneath. Be careful though, vibrations will wake up the Warden, and that gets dangerous fast.

In Creative Mode (Java Edition 1.19-1.19.3)

Open the Creative Inventory and look in the Building Blocks section. You’ll find Reinforced Deepslate there ready to use.

Getting Reinforced Deepslate with Commands

Java Edition /Give Command

To add Reinforced Deepslate to your inventory, use this command:

/give @p reinforced_deepslate 1

Change the number at the end if you want more than one block (max stack is 64).
