3×3 2 is a crafting puzzle map by Zeab with 25 stages and a runtime of roughly one to two hours. It builds on the 3×3 crafting concept and pushes it a lot further than the original. If you want a solid puzzle map that actually makes you think, this one delivers.
What’s in the Map
Every stage is built around Minecraft’s crafting mechanics. The puzzles scale up in difficulty as you progress, and by the later stages you’ll need to actually know your recipes cold. There’s no hand-holding here.
The map sets a few game rules automatically to keep everything working as intended:
- DoMapSpawn is disabled
- DoMobDrops is disabled
- CommandBlockOutput is disabled
Rules
Three things you can’t do while playing. Zeab is serious about these:
- No looking up crafting recipes. That’s the whole game.
- No switching to Creative mode.
- No button spamming.
Breaking these doesn’t crash the map, it just breaks the experience. Play it straight.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.14.x only. Other versions will likely break stages.
- Set Render Distance to 12 or higher before loading the map.
How to Install
- Download the map file from the link below.
- If the file is zipped, extract it so you have a folder.
- Move that folder into your
.minecraft/savesdirectory. - Launch Minecraft 1.14.x, go to Singleplayer, and the map will show up in your world list.
