Vanilla horses in Minecraft are fine, but the small annoyances stack up fast. Saddled horses that wander off, stuttering movement on stairs, having to dismount every time you hit a portal. Horse Buff fixes all of that with targeted tweaks that make riding actually worth doing.
Features
Portal Travel Without Dismounting
Ride straight through Nether portals on horseback. No more dismounting, shoving your horse through, then remounting on the other side.
Smooth Movement on Stairs and Slabs
The rubberbanding when going up stairs or slabs is gone. Your horse moves fluidly over uneven terrain without snapping back or stuttering.
Saddled Horses Stay Where You Leave Them
If your horse has a saddle, it won’t wander off while you’re mining or building nearby. This one fix alone is worth installing the mod.
Swim While Mounted
Stay on your horse while crossing rivers or lakes. Useful for long overland trips where you’d rather not lose track of your horse mid-swim.
Better Breeding Stats
The breeding logic is reworked so offspring inherit better stats from their parents. Worth it if you’re trying to breed fast or tough horses.

How to Install
- Install Fabric Modloader for your Minecraft version.
- Download and install Fabric API and Cloth Config API.
