No. Only drinkable (bottle) potions can be used. Splash potions cannot be applied to any food item in this mod.

Can I make magic food with negative effect potions?

Yes, every drinkable potion works including ones with bad effects like poison or weakness. Be careful sharing these with other players.

How do I make the chocolate variants?

When crafting Muffins or Ice Cream Cones, replace Sugar with Cocoa Beans in the recipe. Everything else stays the same.

Magic Muffins Mod lets you combine potions with food to get the same effects without drinking them. Pour any drinkable potion onto a muffin and eat it instead. Simple idea, surprisingly fun to use.

How Magic Food Works

Every drinkable potion in the game can be applied to a food item to make it magical. Eat the magic food and you get the exact same effect as the potion. This includes negative-effect potions too, which is a bit of a trap if you’re handing snacks to your friends on a server.

Splash potions don’t work here. No throwing an enchanted muffin at someone. It’s food, not a weapon.

Plain food items stack to 16. Once you pour a potion on them, they drop to a stack of 4. Makes sense, really. You have to be more careful with magic food.

Food Items Added

The mod adds four new foods, all of which can be made magical with potions:

Muffins – Fill your hunger bar a decent amount.
Lollipops – Barely fill hunger, but still carry the potion effect.
Popsicles – Same deal, light on nutrition.
Ice Cream Cones – Also low hunger value.

Muffins and Ice Cream Cones both have chocolate variants. Swap Sugar for Cocoa Beans in the recipe and you’ve got a chocolate version.

Crafting Recipes

Muffins

Uses Milk Bucket, Egg, Sugar, and Wheat. The Bucket of Milk and Egg positions can be swapped. Use Cocoa Beans instead of Sugar for the chocolate version.

Magic Muffins

Combine a Muffin with any drinkable potion in the crafting grid. The potion can go anywhere in the crafting area.

Lollipops

A stick and some sugar. Exactly what you’d expect.

Popsicles

Uses a Snow Block. An Ice Block works as a substitute if you’d rather use that.

Ice Cream Cones

Same chocolate variant rule applies: Cocoa Beans instead of Sugar gives you a chocolate cone.

Magic Lollipops, Magic Popsicles, Magic Ice Cream Cones

Same crafting process as Magic Muffins. Just put the food item and a potion together. Any drinkable potion works.
