Does RLTweaker work outside of RLCraft?

It's built specifically for RLCraft's mod list. Some fixes might carry over to other packs, but it's not tested or supported outside that context. Stick to RLCraft if you want everything to work as intended.

Can I configure which tweaks are active?

Yes, several things are configurable. The Advanced Mending double XP behavior, TAN thirst sync delay, and Ruins chunk logging threshold all have config options. Check the mod's config file after first launch.

Does the server need RLTweaker too, or just the client?

For multiplayer RLCraft, install it on both client and server. Many of the fixes involve syncing data between the two, so running it only on one side won't give you the full benefit.

What version of Forge do I need?

Any stable Forge build for 1.12.2 should work. If you're not sure which to use, grab the recommended build from the Forge download page.

Will RLTweaker conflict with my other mods?

It's designed around RLCraft's specific mod list, so it works fine with everything in that pack. If you're mixing it into a custom setup, check for overlaps with mods that touch the same enchantments or TAN systems.

What RLTweaker Fixes and Changes

Crash Fixes

Fixes a mining fatigue crash caused by Roguelike Dungeons.
Catches NaN position crashes in five enchantments: Arc Slash, Empowered Defence, Evasion, Freezing, and Parry.
Adds a motion checker to stop non-finite motion and rotation crashes.

Enchantment Tweaks

Unreasonable enchantment now works properly with weapon damage.
Upgraded Potentials no longer allows certain exploits.
Advanced Mending works with regular Mending, and the double XP behavior (kept for balance) is configurable.
Curse of Possession gets a performance tweak.

World and Sync Fixes

Arrows sync their position and speed to clients more reliably.
Player dismounts sync better with clients.
TAN thirst no longer drains when teleporting long distances.
TAN thirst syncs automatically, with a configurable delay.
Waystones name generation drops the biome suffix from village names.

Performance Improvements

Recurrent Complex’s larger structures generate faster.
Recurrent Complex’s structure DAT file gets cleaned automatically.
Ruins chunk logging DAT gets cleaned on world load if it exceeds a configurable threshold.

Extra

JSON-configurable Reskillable Transmutation additions (disabled by default).

How to Install RLTweaker Mod

Download and install Minecraft Forge for 1.12.2.
Download the RLTweaker mod file from the link below.
Open your Minecraft folder. On Windows, press Win+R and type %appdata%\.minecraft.
Drop the downloaded .jar file into the mods folder.
Launch Minecraft using the Forge profile and load your RLCraft world.
