Entity Culling Mod (1.19.4, 1.18.2) – FPS Boost | 1Minecraft

Entity Culling skips rendering mobs and tile entities hidden behind walls using async path-tracing. Real FPS gains, no config needed. Supports Forge and Fabric.

Entity Culling is a performance mod that stops Minecraft from wasting render time on mobs and tile entities you can’t actually see. Vanilla already skips things behind your camera, but it still renders everything through walls. This mod fixes that by using your spare CPU threads to path-trace from your camera to every nearby entity and skip the ones that are blocked.

It’s one of the more effective FPS mods out there, especially if you run mob farms or busy bases. Drop it in alongside Sodium or OptiFine and the difference is noticeable.

How It Works

The mod runs async path-tracing on your unused CPU cores. It checks every tile entity and mob within 64 blocks in each direction (a 128x128x128 cube around the player). Anything in that cube that’s hidden behind solid blocks gets skipped at render time. Anything outside that range is already far enough away that it’s not a problem.

That 64-block range roughly matches the vanilla Entity Distance slider. There’s nothing to configure. You install it and it just runs.

Features

  • Skips rendering entities and tile entities hidden behind solid blocks
  • Uses async path-tracing on spare CPU threads, no main thread impact
  • Covers a 128x128x128 cube around the player
  • Zero configuration required
  • Available for both Forge and Fabric
