Apple Shields Mod adds colorful new shields to Minecraft made from different types of apples. The mod is built for Forge and brings some much-needed variety to shield gameplay. Each shield type has its own durability, repair method, and unique features like auto-repair and RF energy support.

What’s in the Mod

Shields are useful but they get boring quick. Standard shields break fast and need constant repair with XP. This mod fixes that by giving you apple-themed alternatives that actually hold up better and come with better features.

Shield Types

Red Apple Shield
The basic apple shield. Durability of 336. Repair it in an anvil with regular apples. Nothing fancy, but solid.

iShield
Made from white apples. Higher durability at 504. Repair with Blocks of Redstone. Better option than the red apple shield if you have the materials.

Apple Pie Shield
Crafted from apple pies. Durability 504. The interesting part: it feeds you 0.5 hunger every 10 seconds while held, costing 4 durability per hunger point. Useful if you’re in a pinch. Repair with more apple pies.

Golden Apple Shield
Made with a golden apple. Durability 504 with auto-repair that restores 1 durability every 8 seconds. Great if you want passive repairs. Repair with gold ingots.

Enchanted Golden Apple Shield
The top tier. Uses an enchanted golden apple to craft. 672 durability and auto-repairs 1 durability every 4 seconds. Repair with blocks of gold.

iShield RF
For modpacks with RF/energy mods. Holds 10,000 RF and uses 20 RF per damage blocked. Charge it in any RF charger. Let’s you run a shield on power instead of durability.

How to Install

You need Minecraft Forge installed first. Then drop the mod file into your .minecraft/mods folder.
