Void Monster Mod

This mod adds a creature hiding in the void beneath your world. It’s trapped under the bedrock normally, but you’ll know it’s there from the constant growls, grunts, and creepy sounds echoing from below. The whole experience gets way more unsettling when you’re deep underground mining.

The real danger shows up if you find a hole in the bedrock, or if you’re in a dimension like the Deep Dark that has natural gaps to the void. That’s when the monster can break through and start hunting you.

How the Monster Works

This thing is serious. Two or three hits will kill a player without armor. When you damage it, the monster heals itself and becomes immune for a bit, then charges right at you. Every time it hits you, it gains back half a heart and blinds you. The Nether version also sets you on fire. As a bonus move, it’ll destroy nearby light sources and drop them as blocks, which is annoying when you’re trying to see.

Killing it triggers a timer to spawn a new one in the void, so you can farm it if you’re brave enough.

Configuration

The mod comes with a config file that lets you blacklist dimensions from spawning rules. This is useful if you want to prevent spawns in MystCraft ages or other void-like dimensions. Blacklisting the Overworld, Nether, or Deep Dark won’t do anything though.

How to Install

1. Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version
2. Download the mod file from below
3. Open your .minecraft folder and go to the mods folder (create it if it doesn’t exist)
4. Drop the downloaded jar file into the mods folder
5. Launch the game and the mod will load automatically
