Rotten Creatures Mod Overview

Rotten Creatures adds a bunch of new zombie types to Minecraft, each with their own look, behavior, and attacks. These aren’t just reskins either, each zombie type has unique abilities, spawn locations, and drops. You’ll need different strategies to fight them depending on what you’re facing.

Mob Types

Frostbitten Zombie

Spawns in snow biomes. When it hits you, it applies the Freeze effect, which locks you in place, you can’t move, jump, or even open your inventory. These guys have permanent Frost Walk, so they move around easily on ice. Fire damage is super effective against them.

Drops: Same as regular zombies

Undead Miner

Found deep underground. These zombies come in three ranks (C, B, A) with different loot tables. Rank C drops basic stuff like cobblestone and coal. Rank A gives you diamonds, gold ore, and more. All ranks have a rare chance to drop their pickaxe.

Drops vary by rank: Rotten flesh, ore, and occasionally a pickaxe

Swampy

Hangs out in swamp biomes. Its attacks apply both Blindness and Poison at the same time, making it pretty dangerous. It has an 80% chance to drop a cloud of Poison II in an area when hit.

Drops: Rotten flesh, brown dye (rare)

Burned

Spawns in the Nether. Sets you on fire when it hits, and emits light like a furnace. If it touches water, it transforms into an Obsidian Burned variant. When low on health, it gets faster and stronger. Rain damages it, and cold is its weakness.

Drops: Rotten flesh, magma block, magma cream

Rotten Eskimo

A rare spawn in snow biomes. Applies Slowness II when it attacks. Has a chance to drop raw cod.

Drops: Rotten flesh, leather, raw cod

Mummy

Rare spawn in deserts. Applies Hunger III when it hits you. When tracking a mob, it can spawn beetles. When it dies, it spawns 2-3 beetles.

Drops: Rotten flesh, paper, golden nuggets

Dead Beard

Extremely rare on beaches. This is a tough one with knockback resistance. As it moves, it spawns Zombie Pirates and Skeleton Pirates to fight alongside it. When low on health, it pulls out a TNT barrel and explodes in 5 seconds, but if it explodes, you get no drops. The pirate allies disappear after 30 seconds.

Normal drops: Rotten flesh, bones. During thunderstorms: 100% chance for a Trident with Channeling or Riptide. Without storms: 10% chance for a regular Trident.

Immortal

Extremely rare spawns during thunderstorms in the overworld. Applies the Channeled effect when it hits. If lightning strikes it, its health fully restores. It can infect other zombies and turn them into Zaps. When low on health, it moves faster and lightning bolts appear around it. It can perform a dash attack that heals it.
