Chest Transporter Mod adds a single item that solves a common problem: moving a chest full of stuff without emptying it first. Right-click a chest with the transporter and pick it up, then place it anywhere else on your world. Done. You can also use it on chests in storage minecarts and move them to regular minecarts.
What You Need to Know
There’s a trade-off for this convenience. While you’re holding a chest in the transporter, you get these debuffs:
- Slowness III (you move slower)
- Mining Fatigue IV (you dig much slower)
- Jump Boost -1 (reduced jump height)
- Hunger I (you get hungry faster)
The debuffs stick around until you place the chest. This keeps the mod balanced and prevents you from just carrying chests around without consequence.
Hiding the Debuffs
Put the transporter in a Bag, Knapsack, or Backpack and the debuffs disappear. The game only applies them if the transporter is directly in your inventory. This is useful for server raids or when you want to move chests without the slowdown penalty.
Limitations
Only works on vanilla chests. Custom chests from other mods won’t work with this item. Each transporter is single-use, so you need a new one for each chest you want to move.
Crafting
To see the crafting recipe in-game, install Just Enough Items (Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (Fabric). The recipe shows up in NEI/REI automatically.
Installation
Install Minecraft Forge for your Minecraft version, then drop the mod file into your .minecraft/mods folder. Launch the game and it will load automatically.
