Dragon Catcher Mod
Dragon Catcher Mod adds tameable dragons to Minecraft. Find them scattered around the world in different colors and types, tame them with treats, and build your own dragon collection. You can train them, breed them to discover new variants, and even ride them around.
Taming Dragons
Dragons won’t just let you ride them. You need to earn their trust first. Offer them diamonds, gold apples, gold nuggets, gold ingots, or iron ingots. They also like dragon treats like gems and pyrite ingots. Once a dragon trusts you, it stops attacking and wears a gold bangle on its horns.
Training and Leveling
Your dragons get stronger two ways: by killing mobs or by eating treats. Feed them gems, pyrite ingots, or gem dust to boost their experience. The more you work with your dragons, the better they fight alongside you.
New Resources and Items
Dragonstone
A dark stone that dragons are attracted to. Mine it near the surface. Use it in crafting, or place it down as a dragon’s home so they know where to return if hurt.
Iron Pyrite
Found while mining, this “fool’s gold” looks worthless on its own. Smelt it in a furnace to make dragon treats that boost their experience.
Dragon Crystals and Gems
Mine translucent crystals from underground. Craft them into colored gems to feed your dragons for experience boosts or use in recipes. Combine all three gem colors in a crafting grid to make Gemstone Dust, which also levels up dragons.
Enchanted Bottles
Craft gemstone dust with a glass bottle to create Enchanted Bottles. These let you store a dragon indefinitely and carry it around. Dragons don’t mind being bottled, but they seem happier when released.
Dragon Control Gems
Craft artificial gems to control your dragons. The Deep Gem (Dragonstone surrounded by dirt) makes dragons sit. The Wander Gem (Dragonstone with cobblestone) lets them roam freely. The Sight Gem (Dragonstone with sand) shows you their stats and level.
Dragon Flank
Dropped when you kill dragons. You can cook it, but don’t feed it to your dragons. They hate it.
Dragon Abilities
Sitting and Setting Home
Use a Deep Gem to make dragons sit. Right-click them while holding it, and they’ll stay put until you come back. If you sit them near Dragonstone, that area becomes their home. Injured dragons return home automatically. Without a home, a badly hurt dragon dies. You can disable this in the config file if you want.
Wandering
Right-click a dragon with a Wander Gem to let it roam on its own. If it has a home, it won’t wander far. Otherwise, consider building a fence. To recall it, find it and right-click again.
Riding
Put a saddle on a dragon and you can ride it. Control its direction naturally. Dragons don’t mind that the saddle is made for pigs.
Breeding
Feed two dragons wheat and they’ll breed. Baby dragons usually look like one parent, but they can inherit traits from nearby blocks. Breed them in different environments to discover new dragon variants.
Special Dragon Behaviors
Some dragons react to specific items. Find a white dragon in an abandoned mine shaft and try dyeing it. Feed nether dragons something fiery. Experiment and see what happens.
Dragon Variants
Dragons come in many colors and types, each with different base stats. Some are stronger, some hit harder. Travel far and wide to find the strongest dragons and add them to your collection. Be careful though. Kill one dragon and others nearby will come to its defense.
Installation
Dragon Catcher Mod requires a mod loader. Choose Forge or Fabric for your Minecraft version:
Download the mod file and place it in your .minecraft/mods folder. Launch Minecraft and enjoy.
