What This Mod Adds
Too Many Mobs is a Forge mod that adds 8 new creatures to Minecraft 1.6.2 and 1.6.4. Some you can tame and keep as pets, some are dangerous, and some are just cool to find in the world. Hunt them for drops like whale oil to use as furnace fuel, or eagle feathers to craft into gliding wings.
Tameable Mobs
- Bearded Dragon – Tame with spider eye
- Platypus – Tame with raw fish
- Monkey – Tame with banana
Dangerous Mobs
- Bear (Brown and Polar) – Aggressive and strong. Attacks almost everything including the player
- Crawling Zombie – A creepier variant of the regular zombie
Other Mobs
- Whale – More common than squids and travels in groups. Drops whale oil and bones
- Eagle – Drops eagle feathers
- Deer – Drops deer meat
New Items
- Whale Oil – Furnace fuel that cooks 10 items
- Eagle Wings – Craft with eagle feathers. Right-click while falling to glide down safely
Crafting Recipes
This mod has several crafting recipes. We recommend installing Just Enough Items (Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (Fabric) to see all recipes in-game.
How to Install
- Download and install Minecraft Forge for your version
- Download the mod file from the links below
- Open your .minecraft folder and go to the mods folder (create it if it doesn’t exist)
- Drag the mod jar file into the mods folder
- Launch Minecraft and enjoy
