Scorch Mod is a Fabric mod that overhauls part of the Nether. It adds a new volatile block called Pyrack along with Wither Sanctums, a new structure you can find while exploring. The mod started as a gunpowder rebalance but ended up being way more than that.
What’s New
Pyrack Blocks
Pyrack is the main addition. You’ll find it all over the place in the Nether, especially in the Crimson Forest, Nether Wastes, and Soul Sand Valley. The further you go underground, the more you’ll run into it. Break Pyrack without Silk Touch and it drops gunpowder.
Here’s the important part: Pyrack explodes if it touches flames. Use a flame bow, flint and steel, fire charges, or fireballs near it and things get loud. That explosion will also trigger other Pyrack blocks nearby, creating a chain reaction. Keep this in mind when mining in pyrack-heavy areas.
Wither Sanctums
These new structures spawn naturally in the Nether. They’re most common in Soul Sand Valleys but show up rarely in Nether Wastes and Crimson Forests. They’re worth exploring when you find one.

How to Install
Installing Scorch Mod is straightforward. First, make sure you have Fabric set up for Minecraft 1.17.1. If you don’t know how, check out our guides:
Once Fabric is ready, download the mod file below and put it in your .minecraft/mods folder. Done.
