Anvil Fix Mod Overview
Tired of seeing “Too Expensive!” when combining enchantments in an anvil? This mod removes that annoying level limit so you can repair and enchant items as much as you want. No more hitting the 40-level cap that vanilla Minecraft throws at you.
The mod is super lightweight and works on servers too, though clients without it will still see the “Too Expensive” warning even though everything actually works fine.
What It Does
- Removes anvil level limits – Repair items unlimited times instead of capping out at level 40
- Combines expensive enchantments – Merge high-level enchanted gear without the cost warning
- Optional XP cost removal – Turn off incremental repair costs if you want
- Anvil durability control – Prevent anvils from breaking when you use them or they fall
Configuration Options
You can customize the mod with these config settings:
- anvil_level_limit – Set the max level for anvils. Use -1 to disable the limit completely
- ignore_incremental_repair_cost – Toggle whether repair costs go up each time you use the anvil
- stop_anvil_breaking – Prevent anvils from taking damage or breaking
Installation
This mod needs either Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, or Quilt depending on your Minecraft version. Installation is straightforward:
- Install the mod loader for your version
- Download the mod file
- Place it in your .minecraft/mods folder
- Launch and play
