This mod supports Minecraft 1.19.2 through 1.20.4. It works on Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, and Quilt.

Do I need Fabric API to use this mod?

Only if you're using Fabric. Forge and NeoForge users don't need it. Quilt has its own dependencies.

Will this mod work with other mods?

More Fossils Mod should work fine with most other mods. It just changes fossil generation rates, so conflicts are rare.

Fossils now generate in all biomes instead of just a few. They spawn 70% more often in deserts, swamps, and mangrove swamps. In the Deep Dark, they're 160% more common.

Can I use this on servers?

More Fossils Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.4) - 1Minecraft

Fossils are one of those things in Minecraft that feel like they should be common, but good luck actually finding one. They’re just structures made of bone blocks representing ancient animal remains, and they barely spawn. Vanilla Minecraft only gives each chunk two chances to generate a fossil in a super narrow Y range, with a 1/64 chance each time. And they only show up in desert, swamp, and mangrove swamp biomes. So if you’re not actively caving in those specific biomes, you might never see one.

More Fossils Mod fixes this by making fossils actually findable. They now spawn in every overworld biome instead of being locked to just a few. The mod cranks up spawn rates by 70% in deserts, swamps, and mangrove swamps. Even better, they’re 160% more common in the Deep Dark if you want to collect them in the deep.

70% Boost in Traditional Biomes

Desert, swamp, and mangrove swamp biomes see a significant spike in fossil generation. These become actual hotspots worth exploring.

Deep Dark Buffed

If you’re brave enough to explore the Deep Dark, fossils spawn 160% more often there. Makes it worth looting while you’re down there.
